Company Vehicle Use Policy (SOP)

1. Purpose & Eligibility

State who may operate company vehicles, the license and MVR standards required, and the approval process for new drivers.

2. Authorized Use

Define permitted business use and whether personal use or take-home arrangements are allowed, including any tax or reimbursement implications.

3. Driver Responsibilities

Cover safe operation, daily checks, securing the vehicle, fuel-card use, and the requirement to report damage, citations, and license changes.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Prohibit impaired driving, handheld device use, unauthorized passengers/cargo, and any illegal operation. Reference your distracted-driving policy.

5. Maintenance & Reporting
