- Stop sequencing so the manifest matches the driver's planned route order
- Package and pallet counts to reconcile against the load at the dock
- A delivered/exception column so the driver can mark each line on completion
- A worked example covering a three-stop route with mixed freight
How to use it
- 1
List each delivery stop in route sequence, numbering them in the order the driver will run.
- 2
Under each stop, itemize the goods by SKU or description with quantity and weight.
- 3
Total the package, pallet, and weight counts and reconcile them against the truck at loadout.
- 4
Hand the manifest to the driver; have them mark each line Delivered or note an exception.
- 5
On return, reconcile the marked manifest against PODs to close out the run.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions buyers usually ask once the category, software, or rollout details start getting more specific.
A delivery manifest is an itemized list of everything on a vehicle and where each item is destined. It tells the driver what to deliver at each stop and gives the warehouse a document to reconcile what physically left the dock.
A bill of lading is a legal contract of carriage for a shipment between a shipper and carrier. A manifest is an operational list of all items and stops on a single vehicle or run — one truck's manifest may cover many separate BOLs.
The manifest plans and lists what should be delivered; the proof of delivery captures the consignee's signed confirmation that they received it. The manifest is filled out before the run, the POD at each stop.
Yes. Listing stops in the order the driver will actually run them — rather than alphabetically or by customer — turns the manifest into a working route document and reduces the chance of a missed or out-of-order drop.
