Quartix pricing is published outright: Info Point at $14.00 per vehicle per month and Info Plus at $15.00, both stated with no installation fees and no setup costs. An Enterprise tier is quote-only.

That makes Quartix one of two vendors here sitting at the published floor of the market, and the cheapest once installation is counted. Most of this category routes you to a form instead: Samsara, Geotab, Lytx and Netradyne publish no rate at all.
The terms are where the real decision sits. Quartix asks for a minimum period of 12 to 36 months, during which you cannot cancel, and then moves the account to a one-month rolling agreement you can leave with a month's notice.
That shape is unusual and worth more than a dollar off the rate.

Quartix pricing
Take the published rate at face value, because it survives scrutiny. At $14.00 per vehicle per month with installation included and no upfront costs, a 12-month minimum period commits you to $168 per vehicle.
Set that against Azuga, which publishes a competitive-looking $25 on BasicFleet but defaults to a four-year initial term where the Order is silent, making the equivalent commitment $1,200 per vehicle. Both figures are published by the vendors themselves and verified in September 2026, and they are not the same kind of purchase.
The Info Plus upgrade is the cheapest published refresh-rate increase in this market and the easiest decision on the page. One dollar per vehicle per month buys faster GPS updates, longer data retention and additional reporting options.
For comparison, Azuga charges $5 per vehicle per month for 30-second instead of one-minute updates, a District of Columbia contract prices Teletrac Navman's minute-level updates at $5.00, and Zonar's school district contract charges $2.80 for rapid GPS logging. At $1.00, the retention alone usually justifies it, because a dispute about a route six months old is the situation that makes retention matter.
The renewal mechanism is the clause to read twice, because it runs the opposite way to most of the category. Quartix's terms state the customer may not cancel or terminate until the Minimum Period specified in the contract has expired, following which either party may give one month's notice.
There is no automatic renewal for another full term. Elsewhere in GPS fleet tracking, Azuga renews for a period equal to its initial term, Fleet Complete renews for successive one-year terms with an automatic 5% annual increase, and RAM Tracking's lease document describes the standard arrangement as a non-cancelable, binding contract renewing in twelve-month periods.
Quartix front-loads the commitment and then releases it.
Hardware splits two ways and the published page does not tell you which you are getting. Purchased products become the customer's property after payment in full, which is clean ownership.
Rented equipment remains Quartix property, must be returned at the customer's expense in good working order, and monthly payments continue until all products have been returned. That last phrase is the one with teeth: unlike a fixed non-return fee, continuing payments have no ceiling, so a tracker left in a sold vehicle keeps billing.
Establish in writing which arrangement applies before the first unit ships.

What the Quartix contract says
Choose the minimum period deliberately, since you select it. Twelve months at $14.00 is $168 per vehicle of commitment and gets you to the rolling agreement fastest; 36 months may carry a better rate and locks you in for three times as long on a product you cannot cancel during the period.
Ask what the rate difference is between 12 and 36 months, then price the flexibility you would be selling.
Confirm the hardware arrangement and the return position in the same document as the rate. Purchased units become yours; rented units keep billing until returned.
Keep a fleet asset register recording which device sits in which vehicle from day one, because the expensive failure here is a unit nobody can find when a vehicle leaves the fleet.
Check the direct debit requirement with finance before you commit, and diary the end of the minimum period. Quartix bills by direct debit only and quotes rates excluding local taxes.
The date the minimum period expires is the date your position improves, so record it in a contract renewal tracker and reassess then rather than drifting. Clear direct debit with finance
Billing is by direct debit only and rates exclude local taxes. Confirm both before signature, because a payment method your finance process cannot accommodate causes more friction than the rate saves.
Use the single-vehicle trial on a hard case
A short trial for one vehicle can be arranged after a demo. Put the device on the vehicle with the worst signal coverage or the most awkward installation, not on the easiest one in the yard.
