Fleetio's side of the price comparison has a gap we will not paper over. Its per-vehicle rates for Essential, Professional and Premium are published on fleetio.
com/pricing, and that page answered HTTP 403 to every automated request we made on 8 October 2026, as it did on 30 September. A figure we cannot read off the vendor's own page is a figure we will not print, so open it in a browser and look at the band for your own fleet.
What Fleetio does publish, and we could verify on help.fleetio.
com in an article updated 7 October 2026: Essential offers a monthly billing option, but once annual is selected on Essential you cannot revert to monthly. Professional and Premium offer annual billing only.
Essential allows a maximum of 100 vehicles. At purchase you select a Fleet Size band, and once confirmed you cannot reduce it in Fleetio; the only exception is a trial account still inside its trial.
Also published: upgrades receive a prorated credit for unused days; downgrades take effect at the end of the current contract period and require you to first remove any features the lower plan does not allow; cancellation is self-serve from Billing and Subscriptions but is scheduled for the end of the current contract term, and Fleetio states that some contracts carry specific cancellation terms such as a required notice period. Add-ons such as Tool Management bill separately and carry their own trial.
Annual invoicing is available, but invoiced customers cannot add vehicles beyond the plan limit or remove them for credit without contacting support.
Whip Around publishes no figure. Its FixedUnlimited page states a single fixed annual rate for an unlimited number of assets, priced on your total asset count and your requirements, with the full platform included and the Whip Around Wallet add-on folded in.
Tiered per-asset plans are named as the alternative. Both end in a quote.

What Whip Around publishes that Fleetio does not: a trial length of 14 days with no credit card, and an explicit statement that there is no minimum fleet size. What it does not publish: any rate, any contract length, any renewal or notice term, and what happens to the fixed rate when your asset count moves materially.
