Whip Around pricing, tiers, and what each level covers
Whip Around prices per vehicle per month across tiers that scale from inspection-only up through maintenance management. Because the vendor adjusts packaging from time to time, buyers should confirm the current tier names and per-vehicle rates directly on the pricing page rather than treating any single number as fixed.
The practical pricing question is which tier the fleet actually operates on. A fleet that only needs DVIRs and defect reporting can stay on an entry tier, while a fleet that wants preventive maintenance scheduling, work orders, and parts tracking will move up.
Either way, there is no hardware cost, which keeps the total lower than telematics platforms that bundle devices.
Inspections / Entry tier: Per vehicle per month — confirm current rate with vendor (Digital inspections, customizable DVIR forms, defect reporting, photo capture, and driver mobile app. The starting point for fleets replacing paper inspection forms.)
Maintenance / Mid tier: Per vehicle per month — confirm current rate with vendor (Adds preventive maintenance scheduling, service reminders, work orders, and fault-to-repair tracking tied back to inspection defects.)
Advanced / Higher tier: Custom / contact vendor (Adds deeper parts and inventory tracking, advanced reporting, integrations, and support tailored to larger or multi-location fleets.)

Inspection-only versus the full maintenance tier
Whip Around's entry tier is built for fleets that mainly need digital inspections and DVIR compliance. That is enough for teams whose biggest gap is paper forms, missed inspections, or no audit trail when a defect is reported.
The value is driver adoption and a clean record of what was inspected and when.
Fleets that want the inspection defect to flow into a scheduled repair will need the maintenance tier, where preventive maintenance scheduling, service reminders, and work orders live. Buyers should model their cost against the tier that matches the workflow they will actually run, not the entry price alone.
What sits outside Whip Around's scope
Whip Around is software-only and inspection-first. It does not include GPS tracking, dash cameras, or ELD hours-of-service logging.
Fleets that need those capabilities will run a separate telematics or compliance provider alongside Whip Around.
For fleets whose primary pain is inspections and maintenance, that separation is acceptable and keeps the tool focused. For fleets that want a single all-in-one platform covering tracking, safety, and compliance too, Whip Around is one layer rather than the whole stack.
