Optima ELD pricing: a six-product quiz with no numbers in it

Written by Rajat GuptaRajat GuptaEditor

Rajat Gupta runs FleetOpsClub and writes its software reviews, comparisons and pricing pages. Every tool on the site is assessed against the vendor's own published documentation and pricing, and each pricing figure carries the date it was last verified so readers can judge how current it is. Where a vendor does not publish a price, the page says so rather than estimating one.

Last reviewed Sep 4, 2026

Optima ELD publishes no price for any of the six products in its own pricing quiz — ELD Compliance, GPS Tracking, Dashcam, Dispatch, Tablets or IFTA Reporting.

The homepage separately advertises 'Contract-free'. Section 9.

1 of the Terms of Service sets a default 12-month term that renews automatically for another year. This page treats the Terms as the operative document, because it is what a customer actually signs.

How much does Optima ELD pricing cost?

There is no accessory price list here the way TruckX publishes one for its dashcams and sensors. Every one of Optima's six listed products routes through the same quote form, and none of them shows a number at any step.

The commercial terms that do exist live entirely in the Terms of Service rather than the pricing page: a 12-month default term, more-than-30-days'-notice cancellation, a 3% card surcharge, and a 30% restocking fee on hardware returns.

Pricing source: official pricing page, verified 2026-09-13.

Optima's pricing quiz, product by product

Since no published number exists to build a comparison from, get the actual quote in writing alongside the specific term length your Order Form will carry — do not assume the homepage's 'contract-free' language describes what you are signing.

Ask specifically whether your agreement will fall under the section 9.1 Default Terms (12-month term, annual auto-renewal) or a different term specified in your Order Form.

Questions to ask before signing an Optima ELD contract

What term length applies to my Order Form?

Get it in writing. The Default Terms in section 9.1 apply automatically if your signed Order Form doesn't specify otherwise, and default to 12 months with annual auto-renewal.

When is my cancellation deadline?

More than 30 days' written notice before the next annual term cycle begins, per section 9.1. Diary it the day you sign.

What does a hardware return actually cost?

A 30% restocking fee, deducted from your account, plus a 3% surcharge if you paid by credit card, on top of the 30-day return window.

What is the device's exact FMCSA identifier?

OPTELD running software 3.12.0 or higher, identifier OPTIMA, registered to MBM Optima Tech Inc. Check it yourself against FMCSA's registered list rather than relying on the brand name alone.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the questions buyers usually ask once the category, software, or rollout details start getting more specific.

A

Optima does not publish a rate for any of its six product lines — ELD Compliance, GPS Tracking, Dashcam, Dispatch, Tablets or IFTA Reporting. Its pricing page is a quote form that asks for your product and fleet size and requires accepting the Terms and Conditions before you can submit it, with no dollar figure shown.

A

The homepage says so. Its own Terms of Service, section 9.1, set a default 12-month subscription term that automatically renews for another year unless the customer gives more than 30 days' written notice before the next term cycle begins. Treat the Terms, which you actually sign, as the accurate description.

A

Per section 9.1 of the Terms of Service: a 3% surcharge for paying by credit card, and a 30% restocking fee deducted from the customer's account on any hardware return, on top of a 30-day return window.

A

By written notice — email or written correspondence — more than 30 days before the beginning of the next annual term cycle, per section 9.1 of the Terms of Service. Missing that window means automatic renewal for another year.
